What is Lip Filler?
What can Lip Filler treat?

Lip filler is the process of using hyaluronic acid dermal fillers like Restylane® or Juvéderm® to enhance the appearance of the lips. Fillers serve the same function as collagen in the skin – they provide youthful volume and enhance the look of the features with a simple injection process. Unlike many other lip augmentation options, lip fillers come with no downtime and, with the right injector, can be personalized to your exact cosmetic needs.

Lip fillers can be used in a couple different ways. One of the most popular lip filler treatments is augmentation, where fillers are used to enhance the lips’ size and shape. The second option for lip fillers is to fill in fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth. During a consultation, our experienced injectors can help you determine the best approach to your goals with lip fillers.

How Long Does Lip Filler Treatment Take?
Lip Filler Aftercare

Lip fillers can take 30-60 minutes. You’ll get an honest opinion from our experienced injectors about the right treatments for your goals as well as what you can expect. Lip fillers can be performed using a topical numbing cream if needed. Once this sets in, the product will be placed in the lips with a fine needle. You’ll see instant improvement and can ensure you achieve your desired look before you leave.

It can take up to two weeks for your lip filler results to settle in. Our injectors can help you schedule accordingly if you have a big event coming up. Make sure to follow these aftercare instructions to get best results with lip fillers:

  • Avoid exercise or elevating your heart rate for 24 hours

  • Apply an ice pack for 15 minutes at a time

  • Avoid hot temperatures including hot showers, saunas, or hot tubs

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen

  • Keep your head elevated while sleeping

Your specific injectable product will determine how long your results last. In general, lip fillers last for 6-8 months, at which point you can return for a touch up.
